— UNSEEN PLACES. UNWRITTEN STORIES —

An evolving documentary journey through the landscapes, people and everyday culture of Texas.

Texas defies simplification. It is vast not only in size, but in contradiction — stretching from arid desert landscapes to humid coastal towns, from urban metropolises to rural villages where time slows and silence reigns. Lost in Texas was born from a desire to explore this liminal space: the quiet tension between what is remembered and what is disappearing, between myth and margin.

This ongoing documentary series does not aim to define Texas — it seeks to feel it. It wanders off the main road, pauses inside corner stores, listens to windblown signs and faded façades. It captures the emotional residue of places overlooked, towns bypassed, and stories half-told. There are no icons here, no declarations. Only fragments, stillness, and subtle forms of resilience.

This project has no planned ending — is a long-term documentary exploration of Texas — Not because it seeks incompletion, but because Texas refuses to be resolved. Every untaken road, every town not yet reached, every missed moment is still part of the whole.

Rather than chasing completion, this work embraces the act of continuous discovery. Photography, like geography, unfolds in layers. What’s visible today may vanish tomorrow — and what lies ahead could redefine everything. This is not a series with a destination. It’s a visual journal, a document of movement and pause, grit and grace. It invites the viewer to rediscover Texas beyond the map — as a living, breathing space of contrast, silence, and unseen poetry.

The Other Subject | When Observation Becomes the Story

PEOPLE WHO LOOK AT ART, LOOKED AT.

A documentary project about observation itself. By shifting attention from the artwork to the people experiencing it, The Other Subject explores how art transforms those who stop long enough to truly look.
